Website Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply to using this website and submitting inquiries to BAFE Group.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
01About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the BAFE Group website (the “website”). By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
The website is intended for business users, such as seafood importers, wholesalers, foodservice companies, fishers, producers and other supply partners, and not for consumer purchases.
02Website information
Content on the website is general information intended to support an initial commercial discussion. Descriptions of sourcing pathways, regions and categories do not mean that any particular species, presentation, origin, quantity, documentation or service is available. Specific products, availability, specifications, certifications and commercial terms must be confirmed for each opportunity.
03Inquiries are not orders
Submitting a quote request, supplier introduction or general inquiry does not create an order, a quotation, supplier approval, an exclusivity arrangement, a transport booking or a supply agreement, and does not oblige either party to proceed.
Any commercial commitment exists only once the parties agree it in writing through the appropriate commercial documents. Those documents, not these Terms, govern the transaction.
04Information you submit
When you submit information through the website you confirm that:
- it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and you are authorised to share it;
- it does not include confidential information or personal data of others that you are not entitled to disclose; and
- you are acting on behalf of a business and have authority to make the inquiry.
You allow BAFE Group to use the information and any materials you link to for the purpose of reviewing your inquiry and discussing the related opportunity. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
05Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- submit false, misleading or spam inquiries, or impersonate any person or business;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its administrator areas, its data or the systems behind it;
- introduce malware, or scrape, overload or interfere with the website; or
- use the website to send unsolicited marketing.
Administrator areas are restricted to authorised BAFE Group personnel.
06Intellectual property
The BAFE Group name, logo, website design and text are owned by or licensed to BAFE Group. You may view and print pages, and download the Seafood Sourcing Checklist, for your own business use. You may not copy, modify or republish website content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Photographs on the website are illustrative, are used under their licence terms, and do not depict BAFE Group operations, vessels, facilities, products or people.
07Third-party links and services
The website may link to or rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
08Disclaimer
The website is provided “as is” and “as available”. While we aim to keep it accurate and available, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or complete, and we may change or withdraw content at any time. Resources such as the checklist and articles are practical guidance only and are not legal, regulatory, import or technical advice.
09Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, BAFE Group is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or data, arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version, and continued use of the website means you accept the updated Terms.
11Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BAFE Group is established, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
